What Type of Massage?
Sports Massage. The purpose of sports massage is to insure proper warm-up, improve range of motion and muscle flexibility, and reduce muscle fatigue or spasms. Sports massage is also used to facilitate rapid healing and recovery from injury or overuse.
Swedish Relaxation Massage used primarily to reduce stress and relax. The effects Swedish massage has on the body ranges from increasing blood flow to the circulatory system, reduces muscle soreness, promotes self awareness and calms the Central Nervous System (CNS).
Techniques used during the Swedish Relaxation Massage include Deep Tissue which is a muscle specific technique used to reset the muscle length of over used muscles, chronically painful muscles and muscles affected from injuries.
Myofascial Release technique is used to “unwind” the bound fascia (the “film” covering all muscles) from muscles associated with chronic pain.
CranioSacral Therapy. Cranio-Sacral enhance the body’ natural healing process. It helps with Migraines, headaches, chronic neck/back pain, stress/tension disorders, emotional difficulty, TMJ and many other conditions.
Reflexology. A treatment dedicated to the most abused part of your body, your feet. This treatment focuses on using the feet as a road map to the rest of the body. Reflex points on the feet are manipulated to release blocked energy pathways, helping the body heal itself.
